Diaspora Reunion 2023: A Journey Through Friendship and Nature

In August 2023, members of our alumni in the Diaspora gathered once again for our much-anticipated biennial reunion — this time in the breathtaking landscapes of Canada. What began as a 3-day gathering in Edmonton, Alberta, quickly transformed into an unforgettable adventure filled with scenic wonders, laughter, and renewed bonds.

Following our time in Edmonton, we set off on an epic 14-hour road trip to Vancouver, British Columbia — covering a stunning route of approximately 1,160 km (720 miles) through Jasper National Park and Kamloops. The journey was nothing short of magical. Towering mountains, glacial rivers, dense forests, and expansive skies made for a truly awe-inspiring drive — a feast for the eyes and soul.

In Vancouver, we spent four more days enjoying the city's natural beauty, vibrant culture, and each other’s company. From group outings to quiet catch-ups, every moment added a new chapter to our shared story.

As always, this Diaspora Reunion was about more than just sightseeing — it was about connection. It was a time to reflect on how far we’ve come, support one another, and celebrate the unbreakable bonds that tie us together across continents.
