Dec 14-15, 2023: 30th Graduation Anniversary, Ilesa Grammar School
From December 14–15, 2023, we came together for a memorable 30th graduation anniversary celebration — a momentous occasion filled with meaningful activities, deep reflection, and joyful reconnection. The reunion weekend kicked off with a medical outreach program, where our very own health professionals volunteered their time and expertise. This initiative provided free general medical check-ups for our members, dedicated school teachers, and parents of students — a gesture that truly embodied the spirit of giving back.
The highlight of Day One was a novelty football match between the Class of ’93 and the Class of ’94. The game was spirited, nostalgic, and friendly — ending in a thrilling 1–1 draw that brought cheers and laughter from the crowd.
Day Two was marked by inspiration and hope. We presented prizes to several outstanding students, and in a deeply moving moment, awarded a full tertiary education scholarship to the valedictorian, Stephen Farinto. Stephen is the son of a single mother and arrived that morning without shoes. His story moved many to tears and reminded us of the transformative power of support and education.
The celebration wrapped up with a dazzling dinner party held in the main school hall. Old friends reminisced, danced, and reconnected, surrounded by colorful decor and heartfelt memories.
We invite you to enjoy the vibrant photos below — snapshots of a weekend that honored our past, celebrated our present, and paved the way for a meaningful future.Class of ’93 — 30 Years Strong, and Still Making a Difference
